Head of the Litigation Sector / Legal Department

Position Title: Head of the Litigation Sector
Department: Legal Department, Litigation Sector
Location: Baku
Work Schedule: Full-time, 5-day work week

Key Responsibilities:

• Defining the litigation strategy for civil, commercial, administrative, and labor disputes arising from the institution’s activities;

• Representing the institution in all court instances;

• Conducting legal review and approval of statements of claim, motions, appeals, and cassation complaints;

• Organizing cooperation with enforcement authorities during the execution stage of court decisions and providing legal support in the recovery of receivables;

• Analyzing legal gaps identified in the institution’s activities and preparing proposals for their elimination;

• Preparing quarterly and annual activity reports of the Sector;

• Professionally representing the institution at meetings, as well as local and international events related to the field of activity;

• Coordinating the activities of sector employees, distributing tasks, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education: Higher education in Law (Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred);

• Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience (at least 3 years in a managerial position);

• Language Skills: English (B1), Russian (B1);

• Experience working in public institutions;

• Strong written and verbal communication skills;

• Analytical thinking, strategic planning, and management skills;

• High sense of responsibility, initiative, and ability to work in a team.
