Khans' Mosque

Khans' Mosque Khans' Mosque Khans' Mosque

The mosque was commissioned by the Khanlarov brothers at the end of the 19th century and built near their home based on the design of the architect Mashadi Mirza Gafar Izmailov.

This small mosque is in the shape of an elongated rectangle, located in a row of residential neighborhoods. The entrance is divided into three parts. Of these, the central section is completed with a dome, and the side ones are covered with domes. Along the length of the hall, in the direction of the arrow, there is a richly decorated mihrab with protective windows on the sides, presenting an interesting plastic architectural composition. The interior is completely rich in floral motifs. This also brings grandeur and luxury to the entire system of the internal space. The mosque is one of the most recently built religious monuments in Icherisheher.
