The 25th anniversary of the inclusion of Icherisheher, together with the Maiden Tower and the Shirvanshahs’ Palace Complex, in the UNESCO World Heritage List was celebrated by the Administration of the “Icherisheher” State Historical and Architectural Reserve.

As part of the event, video presentations were shown reflecting the journey Icherisheher has undergone from the moment it gained World Heritage status to the present day, as well as the conservation and restoration works carried out over the years.

Representatives of state institutions, parliament, cultural figures, and members of the public who attended the event spoke about the special role of Icherisheher in Azerbaijan’s culture, its position within world heritage, and the importance of the renewal and management processes implemented there in recent years.

The anniversary celebration continued with congratulatory video messages from international partners and a musical program.
