Amendment to the Statute of the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve

Under the newly signed decree, strict prohibitions have been established regarding the protection of monuments within the Icherisheher (Old City) area. It is now explicitly forbidden to perform the following actions without the authorization of the Administration of the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve:

• Damaging or destroying monuments located within the Reserve.

• Relocating monuments to other sites.

• Conducting unauthorized works, including:

  • Construction and installation.

  • Restoration, reconstruction, and conservation.

  • Landscaping or improvement projects that jeopardize the integrity of the monuments or pose a threat to their safety.

Important Notice: Please be advised that committing any of these acts will result in administrative or criminal liability in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
