The Icherisheher Museum Center hosted the next series of “Azeri Home Chef” master-class at Gala State Historical - Ethnographic Reserve on September 14. This master class was dedicated to gutab and lavash a flatbread-making tradition inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2016 as a shared heritage of Turkic-speaking countries.

Shahla Jabrayilova, the winner of the first culinary contest - Azeri Home Chef, instructed the participants how to prepare gutab, erishte and dushbara within 30 minutes.

The aim of cooking all varieties of gutab including gutabs with meat, greens, cottage cheese, pumpkin, chestnut is not only to learn how to cook these delicious national dishes, but also to preserve our national cuisine and pass it on to future generations.

Gutabs with meat have been prepared from rare breeds of sheep raised in Gala Reserve.

The master-class has been well-received by participants and guests.
